Re: Screen iagging/ stutter
ok, let's try to:
1. remove folders from
1.1 c:\Users\YOURUSER\Downloads\Popcorn T1me\
1.2 c:\Users\YOURUSER\AppData\Local\Popcorn T1me\
1.3 c:\Users\YOURUSER\AppData\Local\PopcornTimeDesktop\
1.4 c:\Users\YOURUSER\AppData\Local\Temp\setup_5523.exe (any other file with PT icon)
2. uninstall current PT vers1on
3. restart your PC
4. install the latest PT vers1on from https://getpopcorntime.is
more thoughts:
1. uninstall Google Chrome (and default web browser)
2. use CCleaner to clean the system and registry trash files
3. install browser back again
4. update drivers of the video card

Re: Screen iagging/ stutter solution maybe
Hey, so I had the same issue with my system. I am using a 4k lg tv and I built a theater pc to use . on.
Tried to stream on . and it was just super laggy and gittery.
. MAYBE!! I had to do is use gaming mode on my tv. Which I believe changes my tv from 30hz to 60hz!!!
So pc was putting out 60 Hz and tv was on 30 Hz.
I am guessing that the difference in Hz will cause it to gitter.
Pc -
I5-4460
8gb ram
Rx 580 8g gddr5
128 gb sad
I hope this helps some of you

Re: Screen iagging/ stutter
Hi all, I have same problem also, so I first start short video in Media player classic and put pause. Then run popcorn while Mpc. still running in pause mode. Think Mpc. load needed codecs for smooth run of popcorn.
Re: Screen iagging/ stutter
Interface itself is very laggy, and movies lag also. I am on latest build of windows 10 (1803). PC specs:SpyAmpa wrote: ↑Tue Jul 17, 2018 6:40 pmSame problem with jasper8x here but no one answer to him yet!!!![]()

I'll still fill in the fact that I noticed this ... When a movie starts and for some reason the subtitles are not activated then the movie works normally, at the moment you select any subtitle then the problem reappears and it stops only if you close again open the program and find yourself in exactly the same . !!
Some idea of what's going on?![]()

Re: Screen iagging/ stutter
The way I sorted it was to go to MajorGeeks and downloaded media player codec pack v4.5.4 setup,
installed it and the problem was solved, no jitter.
installed it and the problem was solved, no jitter.

Same for me after paused media player!
But i've got to use media player calssic from mega codec pack, otherwise I don't have sound on ..
Can you confirm this is normal? maybe something to look at for future updates?
