Choppy video

Post by pukybunny » Sun Feb 03, 2019 3:16 am

My boyfriend introduced me to .. At his place it works perfectly. We have the same internet provider and the same internet package. We both use a cable to connect to the internet, but for some reason, when I play any movie at my place, the sound is fine but the video is choppy.

I thought it was perhaps my video card (since we have different computers. I use a laptop and he has a tower) but I tried to stream videos on YouTube and they play just fine. Even at 4k. So I can also tell my internet . is fast and there is no problem with it.

Any . about how to fix that issue? I have the latest beta 6.0

Thank you!

At this point we know for sure that your internet . speed and video card are good enough to play high res videos. However, Youtube use its own codecks to reduce the size of a video and those video files are located on Youtube servers this is why you have no issues to handle them.
The thing is that torrents works in the other way and PT has a different . to play the videos unlike Youtube. Considering this, I can suggest you to select another torrents in the movie/tv show list. In case it happens to all the content - clear Cache folders at:
Windows - C:\Users\YourUser\AppData\Local\PT\ and C:\Users\YourUser\AppData\Local\PopcornTimeDesktop\
MacOS - <USER_HOME>\Caches\PT and <USER_HOME>\Library\Aрр liсаtiоn Support\PT
