What are some of the greatest endings in film history?

Personally, Godfather Part II has my favorite ending ever. The flashback to the train scene of Michael as a young boy on the train highlight how he was innocent and loving, and this is followed by him as an adult sitting alone in his backyard. And then the flashback of everyone sitting together at the table, and it ending with Michael sitting all alone gets me every time. You can see how his rise to power has cost him so much just by looking around the room.

Sonny- Killed when Michael was hiding out in Sicily

Fredo- Killed on Michael's orders

Tom- Has been alienated by Michael. Minutes earlier he states how Michael was hurting him.

Carlo- Killed on Michaels orders

Connie- Until recently, had hated Michael due to the killing of Carlo.

Sal- Killed on Michaels orders
