When . Popcorn Time, it never advances past this screen. Opening through Terminal, I get the following messages:

[7343:1108/125101:INFO:gpu_info_collector_x11.cc(80)] NVCtrl extension does not exist.
[7343:1108/125103:INFO:CONSOLE(19)] ""Testing if we should check for update..." true", source: app://host/js/updater.js (19)
ATTENTION: default value of option force_s3tc_enable overridden by environment.
[7343:1108/125103:INFO:simple_index_file.cc(437)] Simple Cache Index is being restored from disk.
[7343:1108/125103:INFO:CONSOLE(0)] "event.returnValue is deprecated. Please use the standard event.preventDefault() instead.", source: (0)
[7343:1108/125311:INFO:CONSOLE(37)] "Uncaught ReferenceError: data is not defined", source: app://host/js/frontend/scrapers/yts.js (37)

...I have no idea what any of this means, but I suspect I am missing a necessary file, or something is not properly linked? I had to manually link /lib/i386-linux-gnu/libudev.so.1.3.5 to /lib/i386-linux-gnu/libudev.so.0 to get this far (I initially had an error that I was missing /lib/i386-linux-gnu/libudev.so.0), but I am unsure how to proceed from here.

I am using the 32-bit Linux version on Ubuntu 14.04, with Xfce 4.10.
Stable connection, no difference if I use sudo, and it works flawlessly on my phone.

I don't seem to be able to write the word "o-pen-ing" without this messageboard changing it to a period, which is weird, but not particularly important.

Anyway, does anyone have any advice? Anyone else having this problem?

I have the exact same issue and error message. Seems that the check-for-updates function is looping endlessly.

I hope one fix will be available.
Thanks in advance
